For water enthusiasts, the Buffalo National River is 13 miles down the mountain to Pruitt Landing. The Little Buffalo is accessible at the Hwy. 7 bridge in Jasper, about 7 miles from Misty Bluff. The area offers picnic opportunities, canoeing, caving, swimming, fishing, and hiking galore! All the information you need about activities in this area are available at Misty Bluff. Close by are restaurants and shops.

The Jasper area offers the best in outdoor fun -- you can hike out to magnificent views and waterfalls, canoe on the Buffalo River, and explore the many caves. If you'd rather get breathless another way, just sit on Misty Bluff's patio and watch the evening mists settle down in the valley. Or for real inspiration, get up early and watch the mists rise up the mountain at sunrise.

The upper level Second Bedroom has a bunk bed with twin mattress above, full-sized mattress below, and wood floors. There are books for the children, and a rocking chair sits in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.

The Great Room features a fully-equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs, and an entertainment area with satellite, 66" Big Screen, TV, DVD, CD and Radio. The floor's dramatic treatment will remind you of table rock. A sliding door gives access to the patio, and the floor-to-ceiling windows bring the view right into the room! A second bath with a shower stall is also in the downstairs area.

Enjoy outdoor living and Charcoal or Gas grilling on the patio. This is the place to sit and watch the wildlife -- you'll see wild turkeys, deer, soaring buzzards, humming-birds, scarlet tanagers, butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, and lots of songbirds.
